Student Assistant Wanted for the Child and Youth Department in Sollentuna

Do you want to gain valuable experience in social work while making a difference for families in Sollentuna? We are now looking for an engaged and proactive student assistant to join our team at the Child and Youth Department.

About Us

Sollentuna Parent Support consists of nine parent supporters, a family guide, and a unit manager. We work to provide support and advice to pregnant women and parents with children up to 18 years old, with a particular focus on families with greater needs for help. Our work is preventive and promotes children's mental health, encompassing both individual conversations, parent groups, and collaboration with schools, preschools, and civil society.

We have broad expertise and long experience in social work, and several of our employees have further education in psychotherapy and other methods. With us, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced colleagues and learn the profession in depth.

Your Role

As a student assistant, you will work in the Family Room, a meeting place for families where we offer support, guidance, and navigation. You will meet families, provide advice, follow up on navigation, and participate in outreach activities to reach more families. The role also involves being visible in various arenas and contributing to the development of the organization.

This is a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in social work, create important meetings, and contribute to an organization that makes a difference.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a social work student.
• Has experience from Sollentuna Municipality and Sollentuna Parent Support.
• Has good collaboration skills, is relationship-building, and has an empathetic approach.
• Is independent, proactive, and flexible.
• Has good communication skills in both spoken and written language.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
